Another learning exercise in clothing-- formal attire, dress shirts and coats studied from photos.

Thank you, I can see these being really useful guidance when drawing!

Suit up !
Damn boy, I wish I could draw clothing that awesome. Holy shit, the surface wrinkles just WOW
Thanks, dude. Hopefully all this practice will pay off XP
Love how you shaded them!
Amazing study; great tones.
Very crisp & sharp, nice.
may I practice from these? if I feel like they are good enough, as studies, to post I will make sure to link your page.
or at least point me in the direction of the photos you used to practice
You're free to practice from mine, but I'd highly recommend working directly from real photos or, if at all possible, have someone model it for you.
If you use an image search, you can find similar images under "dress shirt", "slim fit suit", and "trenchcoat".
I'll take the second one on the bottom to go, thanks.
love the detail...
glad i found you!!
You don't know how happy I am for finding this
Very nice. One thing I know to do for more studies is this: instead of going from photos, try some from direct observation. You'll be surprised by how much more you will know the object you will be drawing.
That's totally what I'd do if I had readily available access, but photo studies are my only viable option when it comes to stuff like expensive formal wear. Granted it won't teach you quite as much, but it has to be better than nothing :/
There are studio life drawing sessions on campus that I've really been wanting to get into; hopefully they'll have a slot for me when my workload clears up ^^
