Trying a new technique on fox fur. After drawing many, many canids, I feel I've developed a sense for types of fur, from the smooth and silky to the thick and wiry. Now I need to practice in order to better depict these qualities-- and you know what that means, I'm drawing even more canids in the future

I think one of the reasons I enjoy drawing animals so much is that I feel a lot more comfortable around them than with other people... words are unnecessary, you can connect with them simply by making eye contact and maybe a friendly pat or two
