Okay guys, I feel like I've had to say this a million times already so let me just compile my thoughts here in this journal, one last time.
My studies have been getting a lot of attention recently, and I appreciate all the nice comments, but... I'm not going to pretend like I'm some kind of authority on art. Lots of people have asked if they can use my studies as reference-- you're welcome to use my stuff, but I would highly recommend you study from life instead.
I can not overstate how much better it is to study directly from real life, whether it's from photos or a live model sitting in front of you. An artist will make mistakes, and if you look to their studies as a guide for your own artistic development, you risk making those same mistakes-- that won't be an issue if you work directly from the source material, i.e., reality.
I've had numerous people request that I do a study in a particular style of clothing that they're trying to learn. This doesn't make any sense. You're not going to learn anything by having me do the work for you-- instead of waiting for someone to make a study, go do it yourself
